Our latest project at Skylands Car Audio in Augusta, New Jersey, was a custom subwoofer upgrade for a 2026 BMW M5.
The goal? Add powerful, deep bass while maintaining the clean, premium appearance you expect from a BMW M5.
Dual Wavtech 12” Subwoofers
For this installation, we upgraded the BMW’s sound system with two Wavtech Thin Pro 12-inch subwoofers.
These shallow-profile subwoofers are designed to deliver impressive bass without requiring the bulky enclosures traditionally associated with powerful car audio systems.
The dual subwoofers were installed in a custom enclosure in the BMW’s trunk, complete with carpeting and BMW detailing for a clean, integrated appearance.
The result is a powerful audio upgrade that looks like it belongs in the vehicle.
Powered by a Wavtech Link 1500.1 Amplifier
To power the dual 12-inch subwoofers, we installed a Wavtech Link 1500.1 amplifier.
The amplifier provides the power needed to drive the upgraded subwoofer system, delivering the low-frequency performance that the factory audio system may leave drivers wanting.
Just as important as the equipment itself is the installation.
Our team carefully integrated the amplifier and wiring into the BMW, keeping components securely mounted and the installation clean and organized.
